about mark

Mark de'Boer Lloyd
Having lived a short walk from Langland Bay my whole life I’ve grown up loving the ocean. The beach has been my extended garden.
I became interested in surf photography at a young age. I can recall being 6 years old and local surfing legend Dave Friar giving me his old surf brand posters when he got new ones in his surf shop in Mumbles. Not only did I want to be the surfer in the photo, I wanted to be the one taking the shot.
Most trips away from a very young age involved me taking a camera capturing any moment I thought worthwhile. I’ve been visiting Western Australia since ‘98 having lots of family in Perth and Margaret River, it has felt like a home from home.
I hope you enjoy my Tales from Wales and Tales from South West Australia collections.
It has been a journey but it’s just the start.
